On this extraordinary adventure, discover central Chile's adventure playground, the scenic town of Pucon, and set out to hike two national parks - Villarrica and Huerquehue - and the private nature reserve of El Cañi. Take time along the way to soak in hot springs, discover enchanting lagoons, walk through old-growth forests, and marvel at jaw-dropping views of Chile's Lake District.

Enjoy the beauty of Chile's Lake District as you camp in a wilderness areas, accessed only by foot, with streams, lakes, lagoons and geothermal features nearby. In addition to comfortable 3-person tents there are dining and cooking tents, where your guiding crew will create hearty camp meals.

André fell in love with Patagonia at first sight and has made it his home for the last 10 years. He has participated in more than ten mountain expeditions in the region, accomplishing many first ascents, including the summits of the North and South Towers of the Torres del Paine. André has a great interest in the development of sustainable tourism and is always looking for other regions to explore within Patagonia. Do I need a sleeping bag?Yes, you will need a sleeping bag - bring your own or if you prefer we can arrange for you to rent one locally. Ask your Adventure Coordinator for details. For this area we recommend bringing a synthetic sleeping bag (rated to -10 degrees C / 14 degrees F) as it works better than down due to the humidity.
Do I have weight limitations for the camp?For the 4 nights of wilderness camping, the weight limit is 8 kg (17.6 lbs) per person, not including your daypack, sleeping bag and sleeping pad. We provide a dry bag for you to use, and porters will carry this dry bag for you, in addition to your sleeping bag and sleeping pad, and all camping equipment. Additional luggage can be stored at the hotel to be collected after the camping portion.
What if I have dietary restrictions?We can accommodate vegetarian and gluten free on this trip. Please let your Adventure Coordinator know of your restrictions prior to departure.
What are the bathroom facilities like at camp?There will be two private dry toilet tents set up at each camp ground, with a nice box design to sit down, and shovel and dirt to cover remains. Hand sanitizer, toilet paper and wet wipes are provided.
Can I leave my city clothes at the hotel?Yes, you can store luggage at the hotel.
